Socks Caper

The only things nicer than hand knit socks are socks knit with handspun yarn. Learn what it takes to spin and knit a perfect sock. WeÕll cover fleece selection, fiber blends and how to process them into long wearing yarns and durable socks. Cable plies will be discussed. You need a spinning wheel, extra drive band material, carders and knitting needles.

No. of Participants: 15 students.

Equipment: Students should bring their wheels with all its parts and extra drive band material. Hand cards/ flicker/ dog brush/ wool combs. Double point knitting needles in an assortment of sizes and knitting gauge. Do NOT go out and buy anything if they don't already have it. I have enough to share and then they can decide what suits them best.
