Painted Warps

This workshop is designed for the weaver at any level. It will teach you how to apply color to warped looms and how to use weft color and weaving texture to enhance the painted image. It will treat the warp as a canvas, allowing weavers to create very flowing images and color patterns.

No. of Participants: 15 students. Students should understand the basics of weaving.

Equipment: Students should have a loom that is already warped. Any type will do. The more harnesses the more complex the patterns can be but this technique is very effective on simple looms. Students should bring everything they would use when weaving, plus a hair dryer and a roll of plastic wrap.
